1957 Early American Recruiting Broadside Wall Art – Mid-Century Americana Decor
Vintage 1957 Early American–Style Recruiting Broadside Wall Art – Illinois Moulding Co.
Mid-century decorative wall art produced in 1957 by Illinois Moulding Co. / Windsor Art Products, designed in the style of early American recruiting broadsides.
This piece features bold period typography advertising a “$150 Bounty” for enlistment in a Light Artillery regiment, with a horse-drawn cannon illustration. It was manufactured as decorative Americana for home or office display during the Colonial Revival period, not an original Civil War document.
Printed on hardboard/Masonite with original backing, copyright stamp, and hanging hardware present. Surface shows age-appropriate wear including scuffs, fading, and edge wear, consistent with vintage décor pieces of this era. Graphics remain clear and readable.
A great display piece for:
• Americana or colonial-style décor
• Offices, dens, libraries, or game rooms
• Mid-century vintage collections
