1969 UK FIRST PRESSING The Beatles Abbey Road -2/-1 (VG) Misprint No Her Majesty
The Beatles – Abbey Road (UK Apple First Press – PCS 7088)
Vinyl:
The record shows visible groove wear and surface marks from play. During playback there are pops and surface noise present throughout. The pops do not completely overwhelm the music, although there are moments where they come close. Importantly, the record played through on my record player without skips. Despite the wear, it remains a playable vintage copy where the music can still be enjoyed.
Cover:
The laminated sleeve shows some lamination peeling, mainly along the edges, but the cover is still largely intact and retains much of its original laminated gloss. The artwork still displays nicely overall with typical age-related wear for a vintage copy.
Pressing Details:
This is a UK Apple first pressing (PCS 7088). As with early copies, the hidden track “Her Majesty” is not listed on the sleeve or label, a well-known detail collectors look for on original issues.
About the Album:
Abbey Road is one of the most famous and beloved albums ever recorded and the final album the Beatles made together as a band. Featuring classics like “Come Together,” “Something,” and the legendary side-two medley, it remains one of the most collected records in rock history. UK first pressings are especially sought after by collectors and Beatles fans alike.
A solid vintage example of this iconic Beatles release.
